Lucille Ball was a great American comedian of film, radio, television and radio. She stared in a number of TV shows include I Love Lucy, The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour, The Lucy Show and Here's Lucy. Sarah Palen came out of no where this political season as a Vice President candidate of the United States. She joined the ticket with John McCain to go against the ticket of Barack Obama and Joe Biden. She was picked as a running mate to catch some of the momentum that Clinton gained during her democratic primary election. Unfortunately, Sarah Palen faltered in key speaking engagements and lost some of her support along the way.

Before she came to the world stage Palen was not known in major political issue. She was the Governor of Alaska. Along her rise to become Alaska's Governor she stopped at key positions. First, she started as a member of the Wasilla, Alaska, city council. Her appointment lasted from 1992 to 1996. Next, she moved up to the city's mayor which latest from 1996 to 2002. In 2002 she ran for the seat of the Lieutenant Governor of Alaska. That bid was unsuccessful, but she did become the chair of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission from 2003 until her resignation in 2004. After resigning she set her focus on the Governor seat. And in 2006 she was elected as the first women elected to the Governor position in Alaska. She was also the youngest Governor ever elected. On July 26, 2009 Sarah Palen resigned her Governor seat and went into public life. She had a year and a half remaining in her four-year term.
