Albert Einstein was born in Germany in 1879. As a German-born Jew, Einstein fled Germany to the United States to avoid the Nazi occupation. During the War with the Nazi party Einstein recommended a number of European Jews for U.S. Visas. He was very concerned about world events. That being said his humanitarian efforts extended to the cold war were he focused efforts on trying to ease relationships with the Soviet Union and the United States. Sadly, Albert Einstein died in 1955 of an aneurysm. But his work lives on and has shaped the work of physics to this day.
